or well over a decade, Enerpro
has been at the forefront of
technological advances in
motor and power supply control
components and systems.
Our first commercial producta
three phase thyristor firing board
was introduced in 1983. The
FCOG-6100, the first of its kind
to incorporate a proprietary digital
LSI device, remains the North
American industry standard with
over 35,000 now in service.
In 1985, Frank Bourbeau,
Enerpros founder, was awarded a
patent for a controller that syn-
chronizes wind turbine powered
induction generators with the
electric grid. Over 2000 of these
simple and effective controllers
are in service at windfarms in
Europe and in North America.
In 1989, Enerpro developed a
variable frequency converter for
use on diesel-electric locomotives.
Then in 1991, we introduced a
unique, power quality enhancing,
twelve-pulse firing circuit that
uses a six-phase, phase-locked
loop to achieve 30° equidistant
gating with excellent bandwidth.
In 1992, Enerpro began
development of a high perfor-
mance, high efficiency battery
charger for the emerging battery-
powered bus market. And then in
1996, we introduced the first
network-based battery
management system.
Our experience and knowledge
in power electronics control
technology is enhanced by our
innovative packaging solutions
particularly for harsh
environments, including high
shock and vibration.
Time and again, we have been
called upon to apply our power
electronics control expertise to
the challenging requirements of
some of the worlds best known
corporations and research
institutions.

ENERPRO Controller Packages provide
the ideal solution to the toughest part of
your phase controlled converter or
controller design. Just add your SCR
package to an Enerpro firing board and
regulator Power Combo and reap the
packaging flexibility and cost savings of
making, instead of buying, your power
supply.
Each ENERPRO auxiliary firing board
provides the ability to drive six to twelve
additional SCRs. You can also daisy-chain
up to five auxiliary firing boards with a
single Enerpro firing board. Auxiliary
firing boards can be used with the FCRO-
4100, FCOG-6100, FCOG-1200 and
FCOVF-6100 models.

ENERPRO Firing Boards the industry
standard for over a decade employ
proprietary digital LSI technology to deliver
cost-effective and reliable performance. All
Enerpro firing boards provide high current
picket-fence gate pulses, soft-start
circuitry, and voltage or current control of
the delay angle. The delay angle varies with
an inverse proportional relationship to the
command angle (maximum command
equals minimum delay).
Enerpro firing boards can be combined
with optional auxiliary firing boards,
regulator boards, and special purpose boards
to provide a complete control package.
