RULE 480
Natural Gas Fired Control Devices



(a)
A person installing or using an Air Pollution Control Device which operates
on natural gas shall provide one of the following:

(1)
A plan, subject to the approval of the Executive Officer which will cause the
equipment or source generating the emissions to be taken out of service during a
natural gas shortage or curtailment, until approved fuel is restored to the Air
Pollution Control Device; or
(2)
A fuel system approved by the Executive Officer for use during a natural gas
shortage or curtailment.


(b) Effective
Dates

(1)
This rule becomes effective on the date of adoption for any equipment subject to
the provisions of this rule which is installed or constructed on or after that date.
(2)
The owner or operator of any equipment subject to the provisions of this rule,
which has been installed or constructed prior to the adoption, shall by December
31, 1977, submit:
(A)
A plan describing at a minimum the steps that will be taken to achieve
compliance with the provisions of this rule, or
(B)
An application for Permit to Construct if the equipment is to be modified.
